On May 22, I filed to run for Pembroke Pines City Commissioner, District 3. My wife Kim and I have lived in Pembroke Pines for almost 24 years. We have both grown up in Broward County and migrated to Pembroke Pines because of the family friendly neighborhoods, beautiful green spaces, and great schools. We are grateful that our children attended Pembroke Pines public schools.
We have seen tremendous growth in Pembroke Pines, which has become the second largest city in Broward County. With this growth comes challenges for the city and its residents. Challenges to providing the services that a thriving family friendly city deserves. Challenges to the infrastructure.
Our city has continued to expand at the expense of the green spaces that make Pembroke Pines beautiful. Our traffic has become so congested it rivals rush hour in larger cities. Our school zones are nearly impassable during pick up and drop off times. Our city no longer provides recycling to its residents. These challenges have not been solved by the current leadership. These challenges have a direct effect on the quality of life of the residents of our city.
The city needs proven servant leaders on the Commission who speak for the residents they represent. Leaders that will be on the front lines solving problems using the taxpayer’s voices as a guide to decision making. I am a proven leader committed to creating a true partnership with residents and the government. A partnership that serves the residents. A partnership that creates a safe and secure environment where residents are free to enjoy the amenities and where businesses thrive. A partnership that holds the line on taxes.
I have been a public servant for my entire adult life. I spent 36 years serving the community and I want to be the voice and the servant leader that you and Pembroke Pines deserve. I was recently appointed to continue to serve on the Budget Council for Pembroke Pines. I want to tackle those challenges that continue to exist and solve them so current and future residents will benefit. I want you to be proud of the government that puts its residents and their needs first. So please join me at Glenn4Pines.com and become a part of our campaign. I would be honored to have your support. Join me, and together we can make it happen.
Sincerely,
Glenn Theobald
